ok.. decided not to continue from the previous post.
out to bugis and chinatown yesterday.. christmas decorations are up! the one at CENTRALS was really nice.. gold theme! starting from last week.. Candy's people became much more busier cos of the starting of christmas decor. SICC and Meritus ones are up but i wasn't given a chance to go and have a peep.. so much work to do.. but die die i'm going to request for it! wonder if they are exactly the same as what i designed.. hmm...
bryan told me something last week which made me really happy. well.. he told me some comments from uncle bernard [best florist in Candy - won 2nd in the Garden Festival'06 floral arrangement competition] which was from boss.. the reason why they want me to continue working after my attachment.. and of cos.. it's all compliments =D shan't blog them here or i'll be seen as a papaya yaya papaya =p so it makes me wonder.. since i'm "that good" like what they say... how come i have never receive a single praise from boss? not even a simple word like "wow!", "good" or "not bad"? if uncle bernard didn't tell bryan, i guess i'll never know. most of the time.. she would just say "okay" or get me to print out my designs after she have seen it.. that's all. are all bosses so stingy on praises..? don't they know that a simple praise goes a long way..? don't they know that it helps to boost the morale and increase the sense of loyalty of the staffs to the company..? now i know why people have been quitting for no reason.. i have never seen her praising any of the florists as well. they stand all day.. rush every arrangements so that they can be delivered on time.. postponed their lunch time so they can finish the arrangements that has to be delivered. actually they don't have to do these.. they are merely staffs in the company.. even if the company earns big bucks.. they won't get any benefits out of it. somehow i feel that whatever they did are not appreciated. i don't know about them but that's how i feel.
