work have been ok especially on the last 2 days of the weeks cos dp (deputy director), supervisor and project supervisors all went for a conference that lasted for 2 days.. heh.. slack slack..! was laughing to myself when i was listening to radio.. ha.. hope the aunties won't think that i've gone bonkers from the work.
it's nus peeps holiday now.. and it's gonna last for 3 months till the new batch of students enter. wah seh.. 3 months holiday.. so shiok! i want my holidays too!
the library is so empty than usual which kinda made the entire library so creepy cold~ grrrr.....
ohya.. can't really which day, i was making my way to the office in a super slow pace cos i'm still early. i was walking along with a cleaner auntie of the library.. she's walking as slow as me though she has started work.. haha.. we don't know each other and we were merely walking along cos we were going the same direction.
all of a sudden.. she asked, "when you all end your exams har?" i was like asking myself.. "is she talking to me?" it took me a few sec to noticed that there's nobody around us.. ha.. so i turned my head real slowly and saw her looking at me waiting for my ans.. lol
awkwardly i replied, "erm.. i don't know" ... i guess the auntie must be thinking what kind of student i am not knowing when the exams gonna end. siao ah!
to stop her from thinking that way, i continued, "i'm not a student of nus,
(of cos lah, i'm still a student of np!) i'm a staff here."
doubting my words, she asked politely which department am i working under.. and i answered her without thinking
nah! told you i'm a staff le mah! but after a few secs of silence plus "scanning" of me, she poped out, "but you look like a student.."
-.-" of cos lah.. i'm not that old wad.. lol
smiling awkwardly, "haha.. ya.. you're not the first person to think that way." and i siamed off to the office. phew~
whoo.. the most awkward incident of me being mistaken as a student at nus ever encounted. it's the 3rd times.. the 2nd was being mistaken by my dp as a student though we've spoken a couple of times and she was one of the interviewer. she thought i was a student and didn't recognise me when i was merely standing next to her buying chicken rice. she came to realise that only when i greeted her.. and she started laughing out real loud -.-"
guess more of these will come as the new semester starts cos i have the blur-year-1 look.. lol.. time to get used to it le.. ha.. or perhaps i should just anyhow choose a course if the people ask huh...? lol
dinner with the gals yesterday after we last met 8 months ago. met the gals at vivo and i rushed till my pants are almost dropping.. lol! ate sirlion steak at a hong kong restaurant. okay.. the steak wasn't what i expected.. where can i find good tender steak?! it was hard and a lot of tendrons
if that's what it is called, i couldn't even cut some of the portion.. none of us finished the steak.. what a waste.. but it's great seeing them after so long. we stayed the same though a lot of things changed.. from the topic of ccas and friends, to poly and jc stuffs, and now to uni and work. omg.. we are growing older! haha.. 7 years of growing together.. wonder what would we be 5 years from now..
gals, life is getting tougher.. really gotta take care ok..? especially jas, these 7 years first time see you so thin leh. i know i'm also thin
lol but i've always been lidat since the day we met.. don't neglect your health because of work okay.. seriously it's not worth it. *smiles*
and I miss you already
